Hello
Hi! I’m Judith, a Certified Prekure Health Coach, and I am here to be your ally and trusted companion on an adventure we will take together.
I have titled my coaching program ‘From Overwhelm to Calm’ because I know firsthand that it is overwhelming when first diagnosed with Lymphoedema or Lipoedema.
At moments, so many challenges can arise from managing these conditions, but know that I am here to journey with you to find your spark, your truth, and your resilience.
But, you have to be willing to work to understand yourself more: your worldview, your values, your drive to want to improve, and to claim back your life and find what is possible. This looks different for each of us.
My coaching package is all about discovering what wellness means for you, and I look forward to journeying with you to find the empowered, resilient, informed, and calm you — what a journey that will be!
You are unique and deserving of exploring what matters — living your life, loving your lymph.
Let’s get started together!
Judith
My Story
Early on I always had this thought or concept that I had choices in regard to not just my health but my life in general. I had to be the one to educate myself, to reflect, to understand more about my body and I always naturally went to alternative/natural means of addressing a health concern, not just for myself but for my family and everyone around me.
Why was this?.... for me, my health and wellbeing has been fuelled by outside circumstances that impacted my health and wellbeing negatively. At the time I wasn’t aware of how things like stress, financial hardship, my emotional wellbeing, my nutrition or how my lack of sleep had detrimental consequences. For many years I was just in survival mode, my body was fighting with all it had to keep myself functioning. This time in my life took me down horrendous pathways in spiralling circumstances, but even that was a learning curb all on its own, especially around my emotional wellbeing, but I still had this strong urge that I had to take responsibility for myself. I had a stoic attitude, it kept me going but it also suppressed a lot of the real struggle I was enduring to those around me.
As a result of the above I studied Social Work and worked in supporting the disability field for around 10 years. I moved to Australia from New Zealand where my life changed. I was able to have space, time to reflect, time to experiment on my wellbeing and this is what has bought me where I am at today embarking on launching my own Health Coaching business focussing on supporting those, like me, with Lymphatic disorders such as Lymphoedema and Lipoedema.
I will share my journey (and yes I call it a journey, because it has indeed been that) in my blog. This will be my place where I share my lived reality through my health issues over the years and these health issues did initiate the onset of my Lymphatic disorders. That is why it made me think about how I was fuelling my body, how I was moving it, how I managed stress, relationships, sleep, nurturing it or failing to prioritise time to focus on what my mind and body were screaming at me.
I am still on this journey, believe me, I get the challenges, the secret regret of not loving myself enough to prioritise my wellbeing. Life happens as we all know, and I am focussed on supporting you through your own process of finding yourself again amidst a diagnosis or in your day to day self-management of your lymphatic disorder.
